Progressive Jiu Jitsu specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Muay Thai Kickboxing, as well as Fitness and Fight Conditioning. Our classes are meant for everyone. It doesn't matter whether you are old, young, weak or strong! This is fun family fitness.
You do not have to be in shape or have any previous training. You must simply be willing to work hard. Whether you have ever wanted to learn self defense while getting in shape Progressive Jiu Jitsu is the place for you. We put the fun in fitness.
At Progressive you will never face an enrollment fee, a contract or any hidden costs. Our monthly $120 per person fee , using our Auto Debit system, grants you access to each and every on of the 13 classes on our schedule. You can attend one class or attend all of them.
We also offer Private Instruction, Senior Mentoring projects and always have gift certicates available.

Trevor Burnell - Black Belt
Trevor is the Head Instructor and Owner of Progressive Jiu Jitsu. Trained under Romolo Barros (Rickson Gracie Association, Oahu, HI) and trained at the Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Southern CA for 2 years. He is considered by many to be the best NHB fighter in the North West in the 155lbs weight class. Trevor's passion for training, his high energy level and dedication to fitness helps students reach their goals. He has been a professional Mixed Martial Artist since 2002, a 2 time Active Sports Jiu Jitsu and Submission Pacific Northwest winner, a 2 time Northwest Championship winner in the Copa Pacifica Northwest Championship and has also been an ISSA certified personal trainer since 2000. In addition to his Jiu Jitsu experience, Trevor is a 4th degree Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo.
Gaby Burnell - Purple Belt
Gaby is the Head Children's Instructor. She began training under Trevor Burnell at Progressive Jiu Jitsu in 2000. She has been been the Women’s 135lbs. and under First Place Winner in a Sub-League 2005 qualifying tournament, as well as the Women’s 135lbs. and under First Place Winner in the 2005 Sub-League Championship.
Ian Vossler - Brown Belt
Ian is an instructor at Progressive with 10 years of training under Trevor Burnell. He has been the 2009 Oregon Open division champion, a 2005 Sub League Championship 2 time winner, a 2001 US Open silver medalist, a Copa Northwest 3 time winner and has an MMA record of 1-0, submitting “Judo Jon” Krohn at an open grappling challenge at the Cage fights at the Zoo on 1/20/10.
John Sheldon - Purple Belt
John is an instructor at Progressive with 5 years training under Trevor Burnell and Ian Vossler.
